Through the Willows by Markus Naarttijärvi is a photograph of a river glowing gold beneath a screen of willow and oak leaves. A single bird crosses the haze above the water, and dark branches frame the light on both sides. Almost the whole picture is warm gold, so the leaves read as dark lace against the glow, and the stillness is soft and waiting. A portrait-format print.
