Tree Top Peach

Tree Top Peach by Helene Brox weaves branches and perched birds into a soft peach lattice, papercut style, inside its own drawn border. Look longer and the birds keep arriving: dozens of small silhouettes tucked among the tangle, all in a single warm tone on cream. It is the gentlest print in the gallery, closer to folk papercut than illustration, and it settles a bedroom or reading corner without disappearing into it.

Helene Brox is an illustrator, hand letterer and mural painter based in Oslo, and a founding member of the illustration agency Heiaklubben. Her book covers won silver and a diploma at Norway’s Årets vakreste bøker in 2016, and she invents wholly unreal grafted plants to sell as prints.
